How BOTOX ® eliminates wrinkles

In use for over 15 years, BOTOX ® is currently the most popular treatment for lines and wrinkles around the world. Last year alone, approximately 6 million Americans have received treatment BOTOX ®. Although BOTOX ® is derived from the substance of botulinum toxin that causes food poisoning and even death, small doses are used treatments anti-aging are safe and effective, FDA approved for cosmetic use in 2002.

How Botox Cosmetic ®?

Wrinkles of the skin, including fine lines and crow's feet, are a natural consequence of aging. Wrinkles can be increased or appear before and after sun damage, facial expressions, smoking and other factors. Among the young, the skin collagen smooths wrinkles caused by normal muscle contractions in the face or elsewhere. However, as we age, our collagen breaks the skin gradually, so that with time wrinkles persist. In addition to other facial techniques for rejuvenation, BOTOX ® effectively reduces wrinkles non-invasively.

To compensate for the decrease in collagen, Botox ® blocks the nerve signals that cause wrinkles in the contractions of the skin, muscles. To do this, by interfering with chemical messages sent by the nervous system the muscles of the face. Because BOTOX ® is administered in small doses, nerve block does not cause health problems and spread to other parts of the body, so is prudent to reduce wrinkles.

Because BOTOX ® is toxic in high doses, some have questioned the safety of cosmetic use. Some fear that the use of BOTOX ® and anti-aging treatment can lead to permanent muscle paralysis or other side effects. Although a small percentage of patients who experience severe reactions adverse BOTOX ® Cosmetic is completely safe for almost all patients. However, pregnant women or nursing mothers and patients with muscle or nerve disorders should not using Botox ®.

What side effects of Botox ®?

Cosmetic BOTOX ® side effects are generally mild, usually limited to a slight headache a day or two after treatment. In some Rarely, patients experience a temporary decrease of ptosis flame, which disappears as the BOTOX ® is dissipated. However, it is unlikely that Botox ® Cosmetic is administered by a qualified plastic surgeon. The development a skin rash or difficulty breathing, severe reaction may be signs extremely rare side effects, so patients who experience these symptoms should seek immediate medical attention.

What is the duration of the effects of BOTOX ® Cosmetic?

Continuing treatment is not a problem for most patients because the procedure is quick and relatively painless, not to mention relatively cheap.
